Frequently Asked Questions

Click on "find a car" and proceed to sign up as a driver. Before requesting to rent a car, you will be prompted to complete a free one time background check (average turnaround time is 48 hours). Once approved, you will receive the following forms: Insurance, Registration, and Inspections. You will then need to upload the forms to your rideshare or delivery service account. Once this is done, contact the car owner to schedule the check-in, pick up the keys, and start driving!

Applicants must be at least 26 years of age (21+ in New York) and have a valid social security number (SSN) and U.S. driver's license. Drivers must have at least 6 full months of driving experience (or 1 full year of driving experience for ages 21-25 in New York). All Drivers must pass a motor vehicle record check and have a clean criminal record.

Any drivers booking in Arizona, California, Maryland, New York and Nevada will be required to submit a deposit. Please note that all cards will be kept on file to assist with payment for possible incidental damages.

To ensure the protection of the vehicle while in the driver's possession, we require that all rentals include HyreCar's insurance.
