HyreCar Owner Product Updates
We know how important it is to have specific tools and functionality from our platform for you to run a seamless rental business. Our team has been working tirelessly to bring you some exciting new product enhancements that will ultimately improve your rental experience and communication with renters.
Here’s a rundown of the new features and tools you can now take advantage of as an owner on the HyreCar platform.
We understand that life happens. The vehicle that your driver is renting might break down, or your renter might simply want a different vehicle in your fleet. Instead of calling our team to switch the vehicles for you, you now have the ability to do it on your own. It’s as simple as locating the rental you want to switch out and clicking the ‘Switch Car’ button. You can switch any vehicle anytime, whether it is a rental request or an active rental. You can switch it to any verified and available vehicle in your fleet that has updated and current vehicle documents. Note that you cannot switch a late rental. The best thing is that the swap is instantaneous! Once you’ve successfully completed the switch, your vehicle will automatically have insurance generated, ensuring that your renter can get on the road in no time.
Renters will have inquiries about your active listing or a current rental. Whatever the reason might be, your day-to-day will involve handling the communication between you and your renters. But it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. We’ve released new Inbox Improvements to make it easier for you to manage your day-to-day communications. You can filter your messages by rental status or whether it’s been read or unread. This gives you better control of your messages as you see fit. At a glance, you now can see which vehicle a renter is in. It also takes you to the rental information that you need. No more guessing which rental or vehicle the renter is messaging you about. We’ve also made the inbox more intuitive to help you improve the management of your communication.
Protection Plan Updates
We have revised our Protection Plans in order to maintain the best possible coverage for all of our owners. While some plans have seen pricing adjustments, we have made some changes we think you will enjoy, like a $1MM Liability Coverage for our Basic Protection Plan. All HyreCar owners choose the protection plan that’s right for them – whether they want to splurge on top-tier protection for extra peace of mind or go light for a bigger piece of the pie.
Our updated Premium Plan will include a $1,000 deductible instead of $500, but we are now offering a Premium Plus Plan that offers all of the benefits from the Premium Plan with only a $500 deductible in the event of an insurance claim. With the Premium Plus Plan, all owners will earn 70% of their rental revenue.
As the cost of insurance has continued to rise, we wanted to make sure we adjusted our plans to ensure that you were not only protected, but also had several options to choose from while you rent out your vehicles.
Personal connections mean everything in business and we want you to connect with your renters. We’ve added renter profiles so you can easily access information about your renters at the click of a button. You can view how long they’ve been on the platform, which city they’re coming from and how many rentals they’ve completed. This makes you a little bit more informed about the driver you are renting with.
We know you put a lot of effort into prepping your cars before a rental starts. With this in mind, we adopted a “No-Show” Policy. If a “No-Show” occurs, HyreCar will Cancel and Refund the reservation upon confirmation or request by the Vehicle Owner. If a no-show occurs, owners will now receive one day’s rental income to help offset preparation and operating costs.
