How Does Amazon Flex Work?
To get started with Amazon Flex, you must first download the Amazon Flex app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Once you have installed the app, you can sign in using your existing Amazon account or create a new account if you do not already have one. Once you are registered, you will be prompted to enter your address, and from there, you can begin claiming delivery blocks.
Amazon Flex Delivery blocks are the time slots in which you can deliver orders. You can see what kind of blocks are available for delivery in your neighborhood in the app. If a delivery block is available, you can go ahead and claim it.
Drivers have only a few seconds to claim a block before it disappears from the app screen and delivery blocks are typically between two and four hours long, so it is up to you to plan your schedule accordingly.
When you sign up for a block, you’ll be told exactly where to go and what time to be there. You’ll pick up Amazon packages from an Amazon delivery station and deliver them using your own personal or rented car.
Each block comes with a guaranteed minimum payment, so you’ll always know how much you’ll earn for the day before you even start delivering.
How Does The Amazon Flex Pay Structure Work?

How Much Do Amazon Flex Drivers Make?
Generally, Amazon Flex pays its delivery drivers around $18 to $25 per hour. This can vary based on the demand for deliveries in your area, the type of delivery you are completing (Prime Now, Prime, Store Orders), the time of day you are doing your deliveries, and the number of hours worked.

- Block Earnings — The amount you earn for each block, based on the information you entered when you claimed the block, such as how many packages you delivered and how much time it took to deliver them.
- Total Earnings — The sum of all your Block Earnings, plus any other amounts that may be included in your payment, such as bonuses or tips.
As an Amazon Flex delivery driver, you get paid via direct deposit into the bank account you associate with your Amazon Flex account. Payments are made twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and you receive the payment within one business day unless the payment date falls on a holiday.
